The proceeds from our Quilt Show fund our Guild programs for two years. Since 1983, the members of Quinobequin Quilters have gathered to discuss, construct, admire, and learn about quilts, quilting, and all manner of techniques used in their creation. The Guild meets monthly, September through May, for programs that inspire fabric lovers and fiber artists of all skill levels. We share an appreciation for traditional to contemporary designs and construction methods.
Meetings feature guest speakers from across New England and further afield, activities that support our efforts to provide community service, and the chance to learn from one another and share the results of our work. Our meetings are open to anyone who shares our love of quilting or who simply wants to learn more about it.

World of Quilts XXXIII

May 5 – May 6, 2012
John F. Kennedy High School, Route 138, Somers, NY

presented by

Northern Star Quilters' Guild

 www.northernstarquilters.com

Our show is just around the corner, and it's time to fill those buses! As the Admissions chairperson, I'd like to invite your quilting group to come visit us here in Northern Westchester County and share with you why our World of Quilts is a great choice for a convenient guild road trip to a show located less than an hour from New York City:
The quilts will be outstanding and showcase a diversity of styles from traditional quilts to art quilts. Several of the quilts that hung in last year's show were juried into prestigious venues including The International Quilt Festival in Houston over the course of the year. There will be a special exhibit of Red and White Invitational Quilts made by NSQG members.
Enjoy our Special Guest Speakers:
Bonnie Hunter - founder of quiltville.com, author of Adventures of Leaders and Enders and Scraps and Shirttails and maker of extraordinary scrap quilts
Tom Hennes, founder of Thinc Design, the firm that created visual magic in the Park Ave. Armory last year for the display of Johanna Rose's collection of 651 red and white quilts.
 More:
If you are unable to stand on your feet all day, you can take a "break” and sit down and sew. Build-A-Block will give you the opportunity to contribute to a charity quilt project. You don't have to bring a thing!
33 Vendors will offer an abundance of shopping - purchase a pieced or appliquéd quilt, choose from among the latest fabrics, books, threads, embellishments and art quilt supplies or comparison shop for a new machine. You can even buy an outfit!
A great value. Our group rate is $7.00 per person. Pre-registered buses and groups of 10 or more are eligible for the group rate. Each group will receive a free gift basket. Questions? Contact: Carol Sterk crsterk@gmail.com
