2022 Challenge Quilt
Stash Buster
The theme of our challenge this year is Stash Buster.
After 2 years of isolation and mask making, one would think our fabric stashes would have been depleted! Apparently not so for many of us! So, let's try to whittle that stash down a bit more! Linda Lane will continue to be our Challenge Quilt coordinator and is challenging us to make a quilt using only fabric from our stashes .... no cheating! The size requirement has changed for this year to give you the opportunity to use even more fabric than in past years. Make note that the perimeter of the quilt needs to be between 80 and 160 inches. The quilt is due at our October 2022 guild meeting where members will vote on their favorites.
Fabrics and techniques are your choice. The only requirement is that the fabrics need to come from your stash.
The Rules:
1. Perimeter needs to be between 80 and 160 inches
2. A 3" x 5" index card attached to the bottom right corner with a brief description of your quilt on one side and your name and telephone and/or email address on the other side.
3. 4" sleeve on the back
4. Please supply a dowel for your quilt WITH YOUR NAME WRITTEN ON THE DOWEL.
5. Quilts to be displayed at our October guild meeting when our members will vote for their favorite.
6. Quilts to be displayed at various locations over the next year, including Charlotte Senior Center, and various local Libraries: Charlotte , Shelburne, Hinesburg, and Williston. Linda is looking into additional locations to add to our list.
7. Quilts to be displayed at our next Quilt Show.
