Information and Registration Form
Location: Common Ground Center, 473 Tatro Road, Starksboro, VT
Lodging:
Common items such as milk, coffee, tea, sugar, condiments, bread, etc., will be provided. The remainder will be provided by volunteers willing to make or bring a meal. We will do our best to accommodate food allergies which you will be able to indicate when you register.

Lodging:
- Retreat Cost - $429; Deposit - $100
- Roommates may be requested when you register.
- If no request is made, the coordinator will assign roommates.

- Breakfast – Bring your own.
- Lunch & Dinner – Volunteers will provide meals; leftovers may also be available.
- Snacks – Bring snacks for yourself and to share if you’d like.
- The retreat is limited to current paid members of CVQG.
- Registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.
- If there are more registrations than there is space, there will be a waiting list.
- A deposit of $100 is needed to hold your space.

- If there are insufficient signups, additional funds may be requested to cover the cost of the retreat as well as shared food items and meals prepared by our volunteers.
- Cancellation Policy
- Since we must provide a non-refundable down payment, a portion of your deposit would need to be held to cover the non-refundable deposit. This portion would be applied to a future retreat date.
- If you must cancel, you will be refunded when your spot is filled by someone on the waiting list.
- Sewing space will be open at 10 a.m. on Wednesday morning, January 28, and available through early afternoon on Sunday, February 1. We need to be out of the common room by 3 p.m. We may be asked to vacate our bedrooms by noon if housekeeping needs access for another group.

Additional Information about the Eco Lodge at the Common Ground Center
Sewing Space: We will have use of the Eco Lodge Common Room which is a large room connected to our sleeping spaces by outdoor paths. Because of crowding last year, we are limiting the number of attendees to 15 to 18. Tables and chairs are available. There will be 2 attendees seated per table. There are padded dining chairs for our use as well. Feel free to bring along a small table (like a Sew Easy) to hold your sewing machine. If you would like to bring your chair, please also bring a mat to protect the wooden floor. Additional task lighting at your table and machine will be needed so pack your Ott lights or whatever else you need to see your work. There are cork strips along one wall where we will hang batting or flannel to use as a communal design wall. We are not able to use tacks or push pins elsewhere. CVQG will have a few power strips and extension cords available for those who need it. It is recommended to bring your own. CVQG will also provide 2 irons and ironing boards.
Meals: Information on meals was listed above. We will again provide common, shared food items and will have volunteers provide meals for lunch and dinner.
It is about a 10 to 15 minute ride into Bristol where you can find pizza, restaurants offering breakfast and lunch, as well as a Shaws supermarket. There's a small convenience store on Route 116 in Starksboro very near our location. It's about an equal distance to Hinesburg which also offers several dining and shopping amenities.
Attendees should plan to bring their own breakfasts. Potluck lunches and dinners will be organized among several attendees. We have included money in the registration fee to provide necessities such as coffee, tea, milk, sugar, as well as ingredients for those making lunches and dinners for us. Feel free to bring snacks and other food items to share. There is a full kitchen in the Common Room that is available for our use so we have access to dishes, cutlery, cups, glasses, stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, tea kettle, dishwasher, etc.
Sleeping: There are 8 bedrooms all connecting to private bathrooms. With a cap of 18 attendees, there will be 2 people assigned to most bedrooms with 2 rooms being assigned 3. There are 2 bedrooms that have only bunk beds which will have 2 attendees assigned to each room. These 2 rooms do share 1 private bathroom. The Common Ground Center provides bed linens, pillow, comforter and extra blankets, towels, and hand soap.
What to Bring:
Personal Items: toiletries, extra pillow and/or quilt perhaps, slippers or indoor shoes, boots (we will be walking outdoors)
Sewing Items: machine, cutters, rulers, mat, and all the supplies you need for your project; worksite light,
a cushion or if you bring your own chair, a mat underneath to protect the heated hard wood floors
Food: your favorite breakfast cereal or other breakfast food (milk provided); a full kitchen with pots and pans is available to cook oatmeal or eggs; snacks and treats for yourself or to share; beverages; i.e., juice, soda, beer, wine, etc. (coffee, tea, hot chocolate provided). Alcohol is permitted for personal consumption.
Activities: There are trails on the property to walk, snowshoe, or cross-country ski (not tracked). Bring your own equipment.
