Join us for our first annual Ice Cream Social. Enjoy ice cream and all the fixings. Then settle back and go on a virtual tour of the Hawaiian quilt exhibit with our own Chris Wrobel. The program is titled “Hawaiian Quilting: A history”. It will feature quilts exhibited at the Rocky
Mountain Quilt Museum in Golden, Colorado this spring that covered the discovery of the islands in 1788 by Captain James Cook and the floodgates of missionaries, merchants, explorers who brought tools, supplies, diseases, and quilting to the natives. A brilliantly colorful show of historic flag and bed quilts.
Bring any modern “Hawaiian quilts” to show and tell!
