STATE QUILT GUILD INVITES YOU TO ITS SPRING MEETING!
The Green Mountain Quilters Guild will hold its spring meeting on Saturday, May 14, 2022, beginning at 9:30 am at Our Lady of the Angels Church, 43 Hebert Rd., Randolph, Vermont, just off I-89. All quilters and quilt lovers are welcome to attend. If you are not a member of the guild, no problem – guests are welcome for $10 admission.
We have a full day planned with speakers Lynn Wheatley and Suzy Klinefelter taking center stage. In the morning, Lynn, a popular teacher at VQF and nationwide, will address issues relating to accuracy in piecing and will offer a trunk show reflecting her life as a quilter. After lunch, Suzy will show some of her favorite Singer Featherweight machines and offer tips for maintaining and purchasing a used Featherweight.
The day will also include a quilters’ auction, mini quilters’ yard sale, show and tell, door prizes, and – best of all – meeting and sharing ideas with quilters from around Vermont and New Hampshire. Lunch is often the best part of our day-long meetings. At the meeting, we’ll also talk about helping to promote the creation and documentation of barn quilts throughout the state. If you have a barn quilt, please bring a photo to share with the group.
If you have questions, ideas, comments, or suggestions about Vermont’s statewide quilt guild, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with President Marianne Kotch, (802) 476-4185 / [email protected]. Hope to see you in Randolph in May!
