Lecture Info - September 4, 2018 - Starts at 7:00 p.m.
David Taylor is a multi award winning graphic designer who specializes in adapting photographs by using hand applique enhanced by machine quilting to create works of art that will have you think they are paintings instead of quilts.
David's lecture "Who Am I To Judge?" will give you insight into the judging process as we get ready for our October 2018 show. Fee: $10 for Non-Members |
Workshop Info - September 5, 2018
Claire Graham-Smith and Anne Standish
10:00 a.m. to Noon
Yankee Pride
Fee: $5
Is this your first time entering a quilt show? Interested in learning some simple prep ideas after all the stitching is done? Many lovely quilts could look so much better with a bit of savvy preparation. Does it hang straight from a rod? Would it benefit from blocking? Even folding and packing affects how quilts hang. We will review making sleeves for the best drape. Bring your quilts!
Please email Caroline Juneau at [email protected] to reserve your spot or sign up at the September 4th meeting.
