Wendy Butler Burns
November 1 and 2, 2016

Program - November 1

Picture
Capering with Creativity and Our Quilts
As a published, award winning quilt artist and teacher who found her passion for quilting in 1993, Wendy presents at guilds, retreats, conferences, and on-line nationally and internationally. Her work and articles appear in many quilt
publications, including her own book, "Photo Album Quilts" which features her picture image machine appliqué process. Wendy appears on The Quilt show, Quilting Arts TV, Sewing with Nancy Zieman as well as three online courses on Craftsy.com. She is the 19th recipient of the Jewel Pearce Patterson Teacher’s Scholarship recognizing quilting teachers awarded by Quilts Inc., Houston, Texas. Wendy curated an exhibition of her work and her students titled "Out on a Limb" which traveled throughout the country.

For more information on Wendy, visit her at www.wendybutlerberns.com. She can also be found on Facebook.

You love to collect fabric; you love to quilt (you are a quiltaholic with a big fabric stash) but you lack the courage and know-how to venture beyond those pre-set pattern directions. Wendy will offer a variety of ideas that have successfully helped her to reach beyond the "cookie cutter" quilt.

Workshop - November 2
United Church of Colchester-9:00 am until 3:30 pm
