Hope Johnson - Craft and Community: A Creative Partnership
Guild member Hope Johnson shares her quilts, artwork, and the story of the collaborative influence of quilt guilds and the beekeeping community on her creative and oftentimes amusing journey.
Hope’s background is in the visual arts and includes experience in computer graphics, decorative painting, costume design, quilting, and art education. Her award-winning quilts have been shown in local and national venues. She has made commissioned pieces for beekeepers in California, New Jersey, Rhode Island and North Carolina. Hope lives and works in Shelburne with her husband, illustrator Grant Urie.
